Iberdrola in the US

Success and growth in the USA

The United States is one of our strategic global markets, where we plan to allocate €16 billion – a third of our total investment to 2028 – for growth in electricity networks.

The story of our US subsidiary, Avangrid, is one of growth. In less than two decades, it has become one of the country’s leading energy groups. Over the same period, the North American market has become a priority for the Iberdrola Group, offering the security, stability and profitability of a country with an A credit rating. For this reason, our Strategic Plan 2025-2028 allocates one-third of total investment to the United States: €12 billion for Distribution and Transmission Networks and €4 billion for Generation and Customers.
